On 28 December 1989, around 11 A.M., Victims GEORGE GO, a Filipino-Chinese businessman and his Taiwanese friend SHI SHU YANG, were shot several times along Timothy St., Multinational Village in Parañaque. The killing was spurred by the explosion of firecrackers by Pat. ROBERTO BARRERA, one of the accused, followed by reciprocal explosions made by his neighbor GEORGE GO. BARERRA's anger was heightened after he received only Php 20 and Two-shirts when he had solicited Christmas gifts from the businessman. Go and YANG tried to settle the matter amicably at the Parañaque police station where they were later forced to a patrol vehicle, a Ford Fiera van. The killing was witnessed by CRISTINA WINTERHALTER, who was standing by the gate of her house.
